Our story

Part of a global family

Harvesters International Christian Centre began in 2003 through the vision of Pastor Bolaji Idowu. Its mission is to change lives by building thriving churches, bringing hope, connecting people with God, influencing culture and helping people become devoted followers of Christ. Harvesters Ottawa is part of that wider church family and is taking its first steps as a local community in Canada.

What we are building in Ottawa

We are starting with people. Small gatherings give us space to worship together, follow the message, pray, share life and notice when someone needs care. As leaders are trained and more people join, we can grow into multiple neighbourhood communities and gather them together for larger Ottawa services. The goal is a church where people are connected through the week, not only on Sunday.

What a home gathering is like

You can expect a warm welcome, time to connect, worship and prayer, and teaching from Harvesters. Some gatherings may include a streamed message. The size and arrangements of each home will differ, so the team will confirm practical details before inviting you. A host may offer refreshments, but no host is required to provide a meal.
